Andrea Thome

Personal branding portrait of author, Andrea Thome, by Chicago headshot photographer Michael Schacht

By Michael SchachtChicago, IL

Andrea Thome is an award-winning author and former broadcast journalist whose career began as a sports reporter for a Cleveland television station before anchoring both sports and news for Ohio affiliates. She is the author of the Hesse Creek Series — Walland, Seeds of Intention, and House of Belonging — winning Ben Franklin and NAIA awards, with Kirkus calling her debut an enjoyably readable love story with quirky wit. Andrea is married to Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Thome and currently lives in Chicago, where she is at work on three new manuscripts. This branding portrait by Michael Schacht — black off-shoulder attire, vintage typewriter, stacked books — is a lifestyle composition that captures Andrea's world as a storyteller: elegant, intentional, and rooted in the craft of putting words on the page.
